Seeking a Grower Support & Engagement Officer

POSITION PURPOSE 

The Australian Banana Growers’ Council (ABGC) is seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join its Grower Support (Biosecurity) team. This role is focused on building strong, trusting relationships with banana growers to promote on-farm biosecurity and ensure growers are well-prepared for potential Panama TR4 detections. 

As the Grower Support & Engagement Officer, you will provide practical guidance to growers to strengthen their biosecurity practices, assist them in protecting their business continuity, and provide personalised support through periods of uncertainty or increased risk—such as during sample collection or diagnostic investigations. 

This is not a compliance role. It is a grower-facing support position designed to empower and assist growers in understanding and managing biosecurity risks.
